The Doggies

I have a ton of fun at my job. The doggies all keep me very busy, I really enjoy it. I just wish that I could keep some of them. Here they are...
This is Oscar de la Joya, he is my favorite. He is very active, loves to run around, and when he is really excited he bounds, it looks like he is hopping like a bunny. I love it. I wish I could have a dog like him. Lucky he has an awesome owner that loves him too.

The little white one is Bonnie, and the funny brown one is Milo. He has an underbite so his teeth always stick out, he is cute in an odd way. Bonnie is so cute and little.

These guys are really cute too, the one on the left is Jake and the one on the right is Honey. They are siblings and are 2 yrs old. Jake is super happy and excited and hyper, he loves to bark and jump and play. Honey is very sweet and calm and quiet, she follows Jake around but is very mild. Apparently these opposing personalities can happen in sibling puppies that are raised together. Their owner annoys me even though I haven't met him. He wants robot dogs that do everything on command and that don't run around the house to play. These are Golden Retrievers, they love to run around and play. He got the wrong kind of dogs. I want to take them home with me.

This is Benji, he is really cute, but wouldn't look at the camera for me. He was too busy watching the other dogs play. He likes to sit under my feet and use them as a fort when playing with the big dogs, it makes me laugh.

Blessing in Disguise

Well, my boss was a jerk and was killing me for a long time. I have been wanting to quit basically since I started working there. This week she kept saying how there isn't enough work for me and that she doesn't really need me and so I got so fed up with the other abusive things she was saying to me that I quit/was let go for not really having a position there anymore. At first I was really stressed out about this worrying what the heck am I going to be doing for the next few weeks before we move, I can't just not be working or I will go crazy. So I went to the mall today and pretty much have a job already, of course I'm not really making as much money as I was at the horrid job, but it will be fun and keep me really busy for the holiday season, and I will be able to use medicaid instead of having to pay a ton for insurance and the deductible. So pretty much it all worked out. I worked for the wicked witch for too long I think, I should have quit a week ago, I feel so relieved. I cannot explain to you the misery I have been living in the past few months/year of working there. Sean will finally get to stop listening to me complain about how I hate my job and wish I could quit now and that my boss makes me cry because she is so mean to me for no reason and just treats me like dirt. I have never been so underappreciated at a job before and it was really hard for me, I am just so happy that I could quit and get a job so quickly and that everything will be ok for us. Technically I don't really need to work right now, financially we would be fine, but I need something to do to keep me busy and from going crazy. I am so happy, I feel so light like a giant weight has been lifted from my shoulders. I thought quitting would be a bad thing, luckily it has turned into a blessing in disguise.

No wonder I feel sick

I couldn't decide what to eat for lunch today while I was getting ready this morning, everything sounded gross as usual. So I just didn't bring anything, I thought well, I have some chips and a few other things at work so I should be fine. I was wrong, I became ravenously hungry at 12 and no one could bring me any food or go out to lunch with me and I was really craving a turkey sandwich from kneaders. So to fill my empty stomach and try to get rid of my craving I walked over to the pharmacy next door to my work and took a look at the candy section. I never ever eat candy, but I was hungry, so I bought fig newtons, mambas, reeses peanut butter cups, a few penny candies which were sour patch kids, and a cookie. I only ate the sour patch kids and the fig newtons and one of the reeses cups, but I feel soooooooooooooooooo sick. What was I thinking, I just wanted that freaking sandwich. It is like the days that I really want chocolate and we don't have any at home so I eat everything in sight trying to asuage the craving. Cravings are just messy business, the only way to make them go away is to give in to what you are craving, but if you have no way of getting it then you are in trouble. I should never have eaten that stuff, I don't really like any of it except the reeses and now I am paying the consequences. My tummy is overly full and makes me want to just go home and put on sweat pants and lie down to stretch out my stomach. Unfortuneately it is only 2:30 and I am stuck here at work until at least 5:00. Next time I have a craving I think I'm just going to have to call a cab or something to take me to get my food I want.

I am so excited and I don't know why

I am so excited and I don't know why. The reason I am excited is because things are going amazingly well. Sean is loving school, I'm only 3 months away from graduation, and in a couple of years we are going to be working in the real world.
Sean spent today in Salt Lake and Earnst & Young, an accounting firm, getting to know the way accounting jobs work. He learned more about how the internships work and was able to make a good impression on a recruiter. He has applied to two mini internships for this summer where he would be spending a few days with the firm I guess shadowing or something. I'm not quite sure, but I know that it would be a really great experience for him. I'm really excited about all of it. For the interview for one of the mini internships for KPMG there is a get to know the spouses thing on Wednesday night next week. I'm really excited to go, this is my first business dinner type of experience. I have to look like a professional and make a good impression on the recruiters just like Sean does, they are not only recruiting the workers but the wives as well. So they will be judging me just as they are sizing up Sean to see if he is good for the job. I think it is really neat. I think I'm a pretty sociable person and can make a good first impression, at least I hope so. My MComm class talks all about these situations, there was a whole chapter on proper etiquette which I am prepared to use. I just hope that I don't ruin it for Sean.
We were talking about the places that he would be interested in working at and he mentioned that Houston is one of the two top choices. I would be so so so so so excited if we could end up there. I have friends there and we would only be a few hours from my family, and I really just loved growing up in Houston. It would be a dream come true if we could live there. I know that it won't be set in stone for a while, so I'm going to try to not get my hopes up, but that is very hard. I'm so excited about it, and I don't even have reason to be excited yet.
Another exciting thing is that we found this really cool apartment that we might be interested in. We would be neighbors with one of Sean's friends from the accounting program, and we would have a washer and dryer. We could possibly have a dog there too. We will be looking into this and figuring out whether we will move or not. If we do move I will be sad though, as excited as I am to have a dog and W/D, I would miss my ward. I really love the people here. I have made so many great friends. It would be sad to not go to church with them and see them every week. I think that this is something we will have to consider carefully because I want to make sure that we are happy.
On a side note, today at the gym my shoes were wet and I slipped off of one of the machines and almost landed on my butt. This guy had to help me lift the machine back into place because I couldn't do it on my own. Sean didn't even notice he was so into his workout.
